We held our 22nd Swimarathon at Clayesmore Sports Centre on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th March. Entries increased from 35 to 42 and everyone swam with great enthusiasm, swimming a grand total of 130 km and also raising over £7,800 in sponsorship, compared to last years total sum of £6795. This brings the total amount raised in the 22 years to around £163,000 which has benefited many local organisations and charities. A truly magnificent achievement.
Half of the money raised was returned to the teams for their own organisation or nominated charities. This year's principal beneficiaries of the Lions share of the proceeds were Age Concern North Dorset and Dentaid.
