Grateful thanks must be given to the Manager, Co-op Supermarket in Sturminster Newton, who donated the £100 draw prize and Roy Barrett, Estate Agents, who sponsor the the draw tickets.

Our picture shows this year's lucky winner, Mr Roger Mullins of Sturminster Newton receiving a £100 pound grocery voucher from the Lions Vice President Peter Oswick.

Also pictured are the manager and staff of the co-op with Gordon Kelley, the organiser of the event, which this year raised £850 for local charities.

This is the first time that this event has been sponsored by our new Co-op stores and we hope that it will become an annual event for the benefit of local charities.
