Each year Lions
Clubs hold a Peace Poster Competition to encourage young people
in our local communities to think about the importance of world
peace, tolerance and international understanding, and to pass it
on. The idea is to encourage these young people to share their own
visions with the world, through pictures. St Nicholas School in
Henstridge entered the competition for the first time in 2008 and
won first place in two age groups, which is a wonderful achievement.
Chloe Parry and
Jonathon Hardy are seen here receiving the trophies from Lion President
Peter Oswick. Our congratulations to both of them. We would like
to thank all the pupils at the schools in our area who took part
in this years competition and look forward to their entries this
coming year . |
