VALE LIONS CLUB : GOLF FUN DAY
FOLKE GOLF CLUB, ALWESTON : SUNDAY 17th April 2011
I am pleased to let you know that this year's event will be held on Sunday 17th April.
we are supporting two charities this year, Weldmar Hospice Trust in Dorchester and St Margaret's Hospice in Yeovil. They both do such good work in the area, supporting patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses.
As before
there will be two competitions :-
1) The
main competition will be for those golfers who play to a handicap. This
will be a Stableford competition.
2) In
addition there will be a competition especially for novices. This will
be for golfers who do not play to a handicap and who would not expect
to score less than 70 for the 9 holes. This will be a stroke play competition.
There
will be prizes for both GENTLEMEN and LADIES in both competitions.
Prizes
will also be given for the LONGEST DRIVE and NEAREST THE PIN.
Additionally
there will be fun PUTTING and CHIPPING competitions and also a TOMBOLA.
The
first tee will be at approximately midday but this will depend on entry
numbers.
The cost will be £6 for Folke Golf Club members and £15 for others.
As a condition
of entry we would expect each golfer to raise a minimum of £10 either by
sponsorship or donation.
To reserve
your tee time please dowload an entry form and return it with your entry
fee either to Lion Peter Oswick at Greys Cottage, Townsend, Henstridge,
BA8 0RQ or to Stephen Harris at Folke Golf Club as soon as possible but
NO LATER THAN 10TH April 2011.
Sponsorship
forms with your tee time will be issued with the acknowledgement of your
entry form.
