The 29th Blackmore Vale Rally took place over the weekend of 26th to 28th June, in some of the best weather of the summer. As usual we had Lions from many parts of the country, as widely separated as Plymouth in the South West and Humberston on the East Coast near Grimsby. In total we had 78 visitors from 20 Lions clubs and we thank them all for coming and making the weekend a great success.
The theme this year was "Allo Allo" and, as you can see from the photos, everyone entered into the spirit with great enthusiasm. Our Blackmore Vale team surpassed themselves this year, turning the hall into the square outside Café René, complete with a variety of shops and elegant street lights.
Sunday morning was greeted with the traditional full English cooked breakfast with everyone gathering to talk over the events of the weekend. We all agreed that it had been an excellent weekend and we look forward to next year .
